If you shut down the avenues of ingress and egress for mice, then you should not have a problem with mice in your home. Use steel wool to stuff the gaps around wiring and pipes of your home to deter mice from entering. Wire mesh will also work.How to stop mice from coming thru a hole?
Close up the hole with sheet metal.
I have heard steel wool works but have not tried it.
I have heard they don't like to chew it but may push on it.
They are determined critters!
1st find the hole and take Brillo or S.O.S pads and stuff it into the whole make sure that you seal the whole with some type of sealant on top of the PADS.
drive a plug in it.some kind of wood or metal ,maybe a hard plastic object into the hole.
fill the hole or holes with caned spray foam insulation.
