Does the scent of a cat scare away mice?

and if so, could you point me to the resource, and not just say ';yes';Does the scent of a cat scare away mice?
Usually not. I'm a (many) cat owner and have read many books about cats. The reason cats are so fastidious about cleaning themselves is to minimize their scent...enabling them to more stealthily sneak up on their prey. Mice do not have a sense of smell as acute as a cat.

(I'm looking for a resource on line for you!)Does the scent of a cat scare away mice?
Not in my experience. I live with five cats and still find mouse poop occasionally.
Naaa.Thats a total myth.I work at a garage nd every once in awile we c a mouse.
