for legitimate testing for finding cures, new drugs, then yes..
I dont think they should be tested on simply to see them die.








I dont agree with testing on animals for cosmetic things.





However tests for drugs are done on mice and rats long before they are approved for human use. This is very important. Mice and rats are used to test to see if a drug causes cancer, infertility, birth defects, and also to find out what the lethal dose of a drug is.. and to compare the lethal dose with the effective dose to find out if the drug will even be safe to use effectivly.

Dosages are figured per weight when they do testing.. a mouse may be given like .01 mg, when the dosage for a human would be like 50 mg.





Things like cancer, infertility and birth defects can be tested easily on mice and rats... they mature and reproduce quickly. It only takes a matter of weeks to figure out if a drug will cause any of those problems or not.











Testing on animals is, unfortunantly, a necessary evil. Drugs save lives.
no, they shouldnt. they should test on people, cause people are completely different than mice. think, a drop of some liquid kills a mice, while on a human it would have a healthy effect. they might discovered a cure for baldness on mice, but if I would be a mouse, I dont wanna be shaved and filled with strange shots.
