I want them to be comfortable with me before I handle them properly. 2 10week old fancy mice girls :)A good way of getting my mice to know me?
U may sometimes see ur rat, dont try to scare it, if u managed to keep eye contact turn away and walk away, and in the night time if it make sounds dont scare it inface you should encourage by giving some leftover food. And then for the final blow, buy a mousetrap.....A good way of getting my mice to know me?
The best way with mice is to handle them.


Although mice go through fleeing age, which is when them jump a lot.


other than that you can put your hand in the the tank/cage with they for 5 minutes or more if you like a few times a day, as many as you like.


Eventually if not straight away they will come and find out what you are, e.g climb on your hand and maybe have a nibble.
The more you interact with your mice, the friendlier they'll become (most of the time). Spend time near their cage, talking softly to them or just being close. Put your hand inside the cage %26amp; hold it still so your mice can sniff you or even climb on you. This works even better if you've got treats for them in your open palm.


Take a paper towel %26amp; ';wear'; it next to your skin for awhile before giving it to your mice to make a nest with.
Pick them up now! the longer you wait for your mice to ';get to know you';, the more difficult it will be to make them friendly. Do you think you should engage them in friendly conversation first? Read them your memoirs? NO. pick them up and talk to them. feed them treats ans so fourth.
