There is nothing else you can feed a snake. If you're not happy about what they eat or the price of buying it then don't own a snake. And DO NOT go out and try to catch your own snake food. They can carry parasites that will kill your snake or at least give you a big vet bill.
No. This is what they are meant to eat, and it will fulfill their food requirements.

Crickets are just a lot of exoskeleon and not much nutritional value at all.
Feed the snake whatever the natural food is for that species. If that happens to be rats and mice, live with it.

Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.
You cannot, snakes are strictly canivorous, and can only eat rodents. They cannot eat anything else. They mouse provides everything it needs. Vitamins, protein, and calcium. If you decide to feed him something else he will not eat. SO please stick to the only thing they will eat and are naturally suppose to eat...MICE. I would hate to see a snake die of lack of feeding requirements, because some owner was to lazy to just go buy some mice. So please dont be that lazy owner and take responsibility for the this beautiful creature you have purchased.
just rodents nothing else. frozen then thawed is the safest bet
Only a few eat crickets. Mice and rats are about it. I've heard of snake ';sausages';, but if you can't feed your snake the food it needs and provide the care it deserves, you need to look into choosing a different pet. I truly hope you're not asking this question AFTER you bought it.
It all depends on what type of snake it is. Certain snakes eat fish while some eat nothing but rodents, some will devour earthworms %26amp; others eat other snakes and small lizards. Many eat small birds and some eat nothing but small bird's eggs.
