Why are elephants afraid of teeny weeny mice?

Remember to also give me a website where you found it!!! Don't just answer!!! ^_^Why are elephants afraid of teeny weeny mice?
They are not. It's an urban legend. Besides, Elephants aren't afraid of humans, lions, or anything. Even lion prides move out of the way when the big animals comes.

Snopes comments that ';In fact, given the large size and relatively poor eyesight of elephants, they don't necessarily notice the occasional mouse scurrying around them all that often.';Why are elephants afraid of teeny weeny mice?
Who says elephants are afraid of mice???
well, i don't have a website, but i've always heard they are afraid that the mouse will run up their trunk, the inside.
no they are afriad they might sit on their friend
I don't have a web site, but I can tell you that it is a myth. elephants are not afraid of mice
It's a myth. Elephants are one of the most fearless animals on the planet.
They arent. That is a fairy tale.

: %26gt; )))
I HAVE seen with my own two eyes hoofed animals such as horses and cows spook at a sudden half seen scurry from a mouse under their feet even though they are not normally afraid of mice. heck the same thing has happen to me even though Im not one to be afraid of mice normally. I suspect that, given the snoops elephants poor eyesight point, the same thing could happen to an elephant. this COULD be the origin of the myth.(speculation only)
It's a myth.
